finished reading two book in two weeks;
i 've finished reading two book in two weeks;
1. the gun seller by hugh laurie - written by hugh laurie before he got the part of gregory house. oh the sarcasm, somehow i feel like thomas lang's lines could have been uttered by dr house himself. house as secret agent, how cool is that?
2. the lovely bones by alice sebold - this is a very sad, excellent book. would heath ledger is still alive, he could have nailed the part of susie's father spot-on.

Untitled
so little time, so much to do....hence, the long wait for new update.
sorry folks if my writing is a bit rusty after the long pause.
2008 has left us, personally it is a year that is full of challenges for me, i've shed so many tears over the past year.
i mentioned about polyp in my last entry, and some concerned individuals did take the time to contact and comfort me personally.
thank you so much for your concern, you have a special place in my heart.
my polyp has been removed and thankfully there is nothing to worry about, my pap smear also came back negative.
in other development, we have moved to our own house last christmas, and on awal muharram we had a simple feast for close family and friends as a thankful gesture for if not for His blessing, we won't achieve what we have today.
but i am about to lose something very dear to my heart soon, that is my beloved myvi.
we need to get another car to accomodate our growing family.
but that is life, you are bound to change and move from one position and possession to another,.
when you stop changing and stop moving, that is the day you die.

i have cervical polyp.
it is non cancerous, but i still need to get it removed.
i have also been prescribed some multi-vitamins by my doc, she said it is due to fatigue and stress.
it serves as a gentle reminder, i guess, especially during this holy month of ramadhan.
your health, or any other privilege awarded to you, could be taken away any time as He likes it in order to test your faith.

i've just finished reading ayat-ayat cinta, and i watched the movie version after that.
the book is good, while i don't see it as being ground-breaking in terms of bringing new ideas, maybe it seems fresh because the presentation is different compared to other love story.
i believe that one feature of a good book is one that manages to make you care about the characters, well this one does.
the movie is a disappoinment though.
since it is an adaptation of course you don't have to stay true to the printed version, however the filmaker failed to justify the need to change the course of the story.
to be blunt, read the book, but pass on the movie.
it's just disgusting.
life is geting harder and harder for most of us, yet these politicians are only interested in getting more or holding on to whatever left of their power.
makes me want to be an anarchist.

I’ve been in my new office for the last 1 and a half month.
Pros:
- Sensible workload
- Reliable system
- Good health benefit
- Islamic environment
Cons:
- Unstrategic location
- No Internet access
Not having access to Internet is quite a big problem, however since so far the pros still outweigh the cons, I think I’ll stay here for a while.

i am currently addicted to Typeracer.
combined with an angry / agitated/ tensed facial expression, this is a great way to pretend that you have a lot of paperwork to do !
