i was never a fan of akademi fantasia so i never bothered to watch the show. but yesterday when surfing the channel i accidentally saw the rerun of their last saturdays's concert, right when one contestant was about to sing nirvana's smells like teen spirit, yep, THE smells like teen spirit. i had the shock of my life, both my husband and i was stunned. the kid did pull it off that night since the crowd obviously enjoyed his performance.....but now i don't think i can separate the image of some makciks, clapping and hopping along excitedly during the performance, from the classic song that is supposed to symbolize teenagers' rebellion....!
