went to training at hannover re this morning....the place is at wisma uoa jln pinang opposite kl convention center......just some basic intro to underwriting hypertension and asthma.....the part about hypertension was pretty basic, already covered during our training at mlre....the part about asthma however was very interesting.....i thought that underwriting asthma is simple....no need to be alarmed by it....this training proved otherwise....first we need to differentiate between asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.....then categorize it as either intrinsic or extrinsic......find out whether the proposer are exposed to any inducer or trigger...whether the proposer has ever been hospitalized or taking any medication to determine the severity of his condition......then only u can decide on the rating.......what an eye-opener.....
