i consider myself as a true kl-ite.....i was born in kl, raised in kl, 7-8 years ago me and my family moved to selangor, but my home can be considered situated in the border of kl-selangor, and everybody in my family works in kl...
as a kl-ite i'm used to taking all sorts of public transport.....dr bas mini kaler pink kecoklatan sbb kena asap, smpailah to the latest addition, the monorel....so i understand why people resolve not to take them to commute.....they are usually uncomfortable, unreliable and their route is not extensive enough.......thus when pak lah said that the decrease of subsidized petrol would be used to improve public transportation, i'm relieved......because i feel, although a bit late, but at last, SOMEBODY does acknowledge the root of the problem.....the hike in petrol prices would not affect us too much if we have a good public transport system to rely on....i believe during the previous administration, improving public transport was kinda hard to implement since the undisclosed policy was for more people to buy national car.....u know, mahathir, proton etc..... thus people are forced to buy their own cars....thus more cars on the road, more traffic jams, more pollution, more accidents, neverending road expansions etc etc .....
now since pak lah has acknowledge this matter, i hope that his administration would come up with the plan, fast, on how to improve the public transportation....because identifying the problem is one thing, finding and executing the solution is another....
