i really enjoyed reading faisal tehrani's bila tuhan berbicara since it successfully blends serious issues with humour all the way to the end. the non-conventional format of the book, as stated on the cover, a novel-drama, really adds to its quirkiness. a highly-recommended first read for those who is not yet familiar with the works of faisal tehrani.
i can't help agreeing with zyda's latest entry, about her dissatisfaction on the appeal of ahadiat akashah's works. i don't want to sound like a snob, but until when would you keep restricting yourselves with lighweight, effortless books like those written by him? you cannot claim to be a serious reader if you keep reading the same fairy-tale theme over and over again, but if you claim that you read just to have fun and release tension, then too bad la, because there are a lot of interesting books out there with different, fresh ideas waiting to be discovered. that's the main problem of our people, when it comes to books, movies, or music, sampai bila nak fikir seronok je, tak nak ke guna otak sikit?
