i've finished reading it, and i find it to contain the recurring themes in all the recent works of faisal tehrani, especially in 1515, that are the re-evaluation of history and the struggle to uphold back islamic teachings in our daily lives...and just like 1515, the protagonist here is also a woman, which indicates the author's belief in the importance of the role played by women.....a good book i must say....
i have only this to say about the malaysian(esp. malay) book industry.....please improve your marketing skills....one simple aspect, the publisher should pay more attention to the design of the cover...the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" can no longer be applied in today's world....most of the malay books' covers are not as attractive as books in english...heck, tak yah nak compare jauh-jauh,even indonesian books have better cover than ours....avid readers won't mind, but if you want to attract more people towards buying your books, you can't deny that looks play a part, esp. those yuppies poseurs, i doubt they would even blink an eye towards hizairi othman's jukstaposisi....
