did anyone catch myteam last night at tv3?
it's a reality show with the aim of assembling a select team of amateur players to fight the national team.....a challenge to FAM due to our national team's dismal performance in the international arena....
most probably i will get bashed for saying this, but i think kj has actually scored with this project of his.....how can it not be a winner? the show is about a bunch of ordinary guys, with different family, racial, and career backgrounds, trying to prove themselves, whose abilities and vulnerabilities are about to be shown on national tv? do they, ehem, excuse the pun, have the balls for it?ordinary people, the golongan marhaen, men especially, obviously can connect with them.....last night was the first episode, and it has managed to grab my interest, enough to ensure me to tune in next week.....and the best thing about the show is ....NO SMS !!!!! so mawi x boleh menang la kat sini,hehehe.....

apa benefit yg blh show mcm ni bg? sure, for some, and obviuosly for u, it has a great entertainment value, but have u ever given a thought on what will happen regardless of the match result between myteam dgn national team?
ok, let's say kalau national team menang, then what will happen to budak2 myteam tu? diorang semua dh ada kerjaya sendiri sebelum ni, ada yg x abis studi lg,sepanjang tempoh training ni diorang dh tinggalkan kerja dgn studi diorang tu...kalau diorang kalah apa akan jdi kt diorang? tm nk amik serapkan dlm team bola diorang ke? rasanya ari tu tm kata diorang x janjikan apa2...ok let's say kalau myteam plak menang, apa akan jadi kat national team dgn FAM? dh tentu akan jadi bahan gelak seluruh dunia...apa akan jd dgn kedudukan sultan pahang dgn anak dia? kita kena ingat diorang bukan setakat berpengaruh kt FAM je, tp kt AFC dgn FIFA pun blh tahan gak...ape2 hal nama malaysia gak buruk....yg dpt nama sapa? ape2 hal yg paling tak terjejas sapa? kj la gak....

I watched myteam not for entertainment sake but I find it interesting that they want to challenge the national football team and how the concept has moved away from singing cavalcade. Thank goodness for the change.

I for one root for myteam because I believe the national football team needs a wake up call, SOON. They have performed under par again and again and have caused huge embarrassment. Tak payah tunggu myteam kalahkan diorg. Pasukan Malaysia memang dah kena gelak pun skrg ni. Imagine that our ranking is under Hong Kong and Togo. Like where the heck is Togo? And because of that dismal state, something needs to be done. Padang dah diberi, coaches are given, high salaries and even incentives are given but what has the changes so far been? So perhaps (I am not saying it is a sure shot), myteam can indirectly help shape up the national football team.

I understand your predicament regarding the future of myteam players. I too questioned on what will happen to them after the whole thing ends. I think it would be a great loss if potential players are not absorbed into any Malaysian leagues team. But then again, just because u have the talents and (mungkin) beat Malaysian team, it gives no guarantee your presence will be a permanent deal. That's life.

Yes, some left work/studies but that’s their choice. I m sure they have considered it long and hard before taking the leap to participate in myteam.

To me I don’t care if myteam or national team wins. It’s the spirit of the games that counts. If national team wins (which I really think they ought to), then it shows all this concerns about Malaysia having a bad football team is baseless but if they lose, then it is a learning experience for them to buck up.

To say sultan Pahang and anak punya nama akan terjejas if national team kalah, I disagree. Look at the dismal state of the team pun dah cukup memalukan the sultans. But, if I am not mistaken, tengku mahkota have once expressed he would consider any means possible in order to make the national team invincible, so can’t the match btw myteam and national team would somehow work towards that no matter what the outcome of the match may be?

Let’s not be paranoid and see what the outcome of this will be. Give it a chance.
